Washtenaw County Black Farmers Fund: Taking action to build a more equitable food system

The Washtenaw County Black Farmers Fund (WCBFF) is transforming our community through food sovereignty and land justice by investing in Black Farmers who have long been denied access to land and resources.

Successo: Expanding the Market for Sustainable Farming Inputs From Guatemala

Successo is a Guatemalan company engineering and producing biological farming inputs such as soil additives that are safe for the environment and for people. In 2022, I traveled to Guatemala to work with the Successo team for 2 weeks to develop a marketing strategy for the expansion into the USA.

The Lunch Club is a digital platform that guides high school students through the design process of identifying, co-creating, and sharing their visions for equitable and sustainable change in their cafeterias.

This guidebook was created as an additional tool for The Lunch Club platform during my MDes thesis work at the University of Michigan. It walks high school students through the process of bringing their artwork to school cafeterias.

The Farm at St. Joes:
Co-creating designs for an accessible hoop house with community stakeholder

As part of the MDes program, I worked as part of a design team with the Farm at St. Joe’s, a community space offering fresh produce and horticultural therapy to the community in the Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor area.
