Overview
GrieveWell provides resources and support to individuals in grief, as well as those who surround them, in order to build a community that promotes healthy grieving and healing. As their Marketing and Outreach Associate, I created a range of materials to support their programs and initiatives.
Bristle Mammoth Exhibit
I created a diversity of materials for social media, workshops, and print that were intended to support those in grief or help others be good supporters.
UMMNH Mask-ot
In 2019, I worked with GrieveWell's Executive and Program Directors to plan Ann Arbor's first community Grief Week. Grief Week featured a week-long series of events including visiting author Rebecca Soffer of Modern Loss, a grief art exhibit, and a workshop series. Grief Week 2019 engaged over 5000 people and brought together local businesses and organizations to “put grief on the map.” Grief Week 2020 was planned but ultimately canceled due to COVID-19.
Majungasaurus
GrieveWell's Annual Kite Festival brings hundreds of community members together to celebrate the memory of loved ones, share resources, and fly kites. The event features a city-wide kite coloring contest in partnership with local elementary schools, a "Fly and Remember" event, and much more. I supported the event by organizing the marketing and outreach efforts, coordinating events, creating materials, and designing activates like the "Kite Memorial Wall."
